About the Event
The Queen's University chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada are excited to present "Artists' Legal Rights: Canadian Copyright Law!"
Together with Modern Fuel, five law students and a Kingstonian lawyer have compiled a comprehensive guide to Canadian copyright law, specifically as it pertains to burgeoning artists. The guide discusses copyright protection, registration, licensing, copyright and social media, reproduction rights, and helpful legal agreements that will protect artists. This project aims to lessen the burden of perusing through legal jargon in order to protect artwork. Instead, it concisely puts all of the information you need in one place, so artists can get back to what is truly important: creating art!
